L’Assaut de la menuiserie is a non-profit art space founded in 1995. Its annual programme of exhibitions and events provides artists with the opportunity to present their work in a professional setting. Invited artists benefit from access to a fully equipped workshop, ensuring optimal working conditions tailored to their artistic practice.
L’Assaut de la menuiserie also offers creative residencies lasting from one week to three months. These include a production grant, a residency stipend, and remuneration for the exhibition. Projects are developed in partnership with national and international actors in the artistic scene. Selection criteria (available in French on our website) are applied annually. We welcome applications in English to ensure accessibility for non-French-speaking artists.
Exhibitions organised by L’Assaut de la menuiserie are open to the public for 6 to 8 weeks. Admission is free for all, and visitors are welcome to explore the exhibitions at their leisure. Association members can also enjoy guided tours led by a mediator, either individually or in groups. For visits outside opening hours or for group bookings, please contact us in advance: lassaut.fr/rdv
